Another year marked by installations using new (and classic!) products of ours, we remain captivated by seeing how AKDO is used in homes and buildings all over the country. From breathtaking kitchens to serene bathrooms, here are some of our favorite and most beloved tile, mosaic, and slab installations of 2023.
Botanicus Bloom Sapphire by Allison Eden made a striking debut in a property by Susan Vanech Properties. This pioneering installment showcases our newest Botanicus Collection, featuring deep blues harmoniously paired with gold hardware, setting the tone for elegance and sophistication. One of our favorite features combines functionality with style, a statement pot filler — the latest kitchen trend.
The laundry room is an eye-catching use of Sio Strata Black in matte porcelain. This innovative design spotlights trending sage green cabinets complemented by patterned porcelain tile. The matte finish adds visual impact and durability for a high-traffic laundry room.
Get lost in the play of shapes in this stunning bathroom. This mosaic showcases diamonds that combine to form triangles connected to make hexagons. A bold design choice within this primary bathroom, the Beacon Aster mosaic creates layered geometric bliss.
Embrace luxury with Helena marble, showcasing pillowy gray veins that emulate the look of fluffy gray clouds atop the white base. Adorning a 10-ft floating vanity, surrounding the tub, and enhancing the shower bench, Helena marble transforms this space into a sanctuary of luxury and refinement.
Courtney and Patrick Ryan unveil a luxury A-Frame rental property in Bethel, Maine, featuring a lavish combination of Fort Point and Fika Parquet tiles. The entire property is gorgeous, but we are partial to the primary bathroom. The Fort Point by Jill Rosenwald collection, including Tea Party and Brushy Tea Party, adorns the vanity backsplash and shower walls. At the same time, Fika Parquet Glacier graces the bathroom floor, contributing to the property’s unique charm and allure.
The breathtaking Luminous Beam Calacatta with Gold Foil beautifully accents the bold cobalt blue home bar. Redefine luxury and sophistication with the timeless backsplash — the interlocking shapes allow for many arrangements. The gold foil accents add exquisite contrast to the classic marble design.
The coastal kitchen is a vision of serene elegance. Beacon Ikat Calico is featured in the backsplash behind stunning coastal blue cabinetry. This mosaic masterpiece, delicately crafted with tiny glass matchsticks, brings movement and character to the space. The intricacy of the design not only adds depth and dimension but captures the essence of coastal living, infusing the space with seaside charm.
Each of these remarkable installations represents creativity and design innovation, pushing the boundaries of what’s possible with tiles. Here’s to another year of awe-inspiring spaces and limitless imagination — we can’t wait to see how our tiles and slabs adorn homes and residential spaces in 2024!
