Carrie Graham of Collierville, TN, recently incorporated AKDO’s Sublime Bouquet as the statement tile for her kitchen remodel. Inspired by romantic Art Nouveau motifs, Sublime Bouquet showcases water jet cut glass in shades of rich azurite, ink, and talc glass. The whimsical pattern features a posy of freshly gathered wildflowers, creating a beautiful chinoiserie look.
Carrie found AKDO online, where she first discovered the Sublime mosaic. “The floral pattern coupled with the blues and greens in the glass caught my eye, and I just couldn’t let it go,” she stated. Carrie worked with AKDO dealer Venice Tile & Marble in Memphis, TN, who guided her through the project.
“I fell in love with this mosaic when I first saw it and designed the whole kitchen around it,” Carrie stated. The color palette of white natural stone countertops and deep teal paint were selected to compliment colors found in the mosaic, resulting in a rich, dramatic space. Soldier stacked subway tiles, open wood shelving, and brushed stainless steel appliances add a dash of modernity. Bouquet inspired her to go bold with her design, and she couldn’t be more pleased with her choice. “I’m so happy with the way it turned out,” she stated.
